About FodCheck

FodCheck is a free website that estimates a low-FODMAP portion for packaged US grocery products. You search by name or scan a barcode. The result is a portion range, a plain-language rating, and flags on the ingredients that drove the number.

Ingredient lists and photos come from Open Food Facts, a collaborative food database released under the Open Database License. The scoring rules are FodCheck's own code. They apply published per-serving cut-offs from Varney et al., 2017, to a rough split of the ingredient list. Read the method on How it works.
